1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing and using FinRead ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

2. Use License

Permission is granted to temporarily download one copy of the materials (information or software) on FinRead for personal, non-commercial transitory viewing only. This is the grant of a license, not a transfer of title, and under this license you may not:

Modify or copy the materials
Use the materials for any commercial purpose or for any public display
Attempt to decompile or reverse engineer any software contained on FinRead
Remove any copyright or other proprietary notations from the materials
Transfer the materials to another person or "mirror" the materials on any other server
Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access the Service

3. Disclaimer of Warranties

      Important: The materials on FinRead are provided on an 'as is' basis. FinRead makes no warranties, expressed or implied, and hereby disclaims and negates all other warranties including, without limitation, implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement of intellectual property or other violation of rights.
    

4. Limitations of Liability

In no event shall FinRead or its suppliers be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, damages for loss of data or profit, or due to business interruption) arising out of the use or inability to use the materials on FinRead.

5. Accuracy of Materials

The materials appearing on FinRead could include technical, typographical, or photographic errors. FinRead does not warrant that any of the materials on the website are accurate, complete, or current. FinRead may make changes to the materials contained on its website at any time without notice.

6. AI Analysis Disclaimer

      Critical: FinRead uses artificial intelligence (Claude AI) to analyze financial documents. AI analysis may contain errors, omissions, or misinterpretations. FinRead makes no representation that AI-generated insights are accurate or complete. Financial analysis results are for informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as professional financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. Always consult qualified professionals before making financial decisions.
    

7. User Accounts

When you create an account with FinRead, you agree to:

Provide accurate, current, and complete information
Maintain the confidentiality of your password
Accept responsibility for all activity under your account
Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
Not share your account with others

8. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

Upload, post, or transmit any content that is illegal, offensive, or violates others' rights
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to FinRead systems
Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers/networks connected to FinRead
Scrape, crawl, or automatically collect data from FinRead
Use the Service to process financial documents you don't have permission to analyze
Engage in any form of harassment, abuse, or discrimination
Attempt to bypass rate limits or security measures

9. Intellectual Property Rights

FinRead and its entire contents, features, and functionality (including but not limited to all information, software, text, displays, images, video, audio, and design) are owned by FinRead, its licensors, or other providers of such material and are protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

10. User-Generated Content

By uploading or transmitting content to FinRead (such as questions, notes, or watchlist items), you grant FinRead a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use such content for service improvement and analytics purposes.

11. Free Trial Terms

5-Day Free Pro Trial:

New users receive 5 days of free access to Pro features
Trial access is non-transferable and for personal use only
After 5 days, service reverts to free tier unless you subscribe
Trial can only be used once per user/account
No credit card required for trial

12. Pricing and Payment

Free Tier: 5 analyses per month

Pro Subscription: Unlimited analyses, advanced features, priority support

All prices are in USD unless otherwise specified
FinRead reserves the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice
Billing occurs monthly on the same day each month
You can cancel anytime from your account settings
Refunds are processed according to our refund policy

13. Cancellation and Refunds

Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation is effective at the end of your current billing cycle.

Refunds: Pro subscriptions are non-refundable except as required by law. If you believe you deserve a refund, contact us within 30 days of the charge.

14. Limitation on Time to File Claims

Any claim or cause of action arising out of or related to use of FinRead must be filed within one (1) year after the claim or cause of action arises, or be forever barred.

15. Termination

FinRead may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including if you breach the Terms of Service.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

16. Third-Party Links and Services

FinRead may contain links to third-party websites and services. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of third-party sites. Your use of third-party services is governed by their terms and policies.

FinRead integrates with:

Claude AI (Anthropic) - for financial document analysis
Stripe - for payment processing
SEC EDGAR - for filing data

17. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, and you irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that location.

18. Modifications to Terms

FinRead reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to the website. Your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
